It's so sad. A few years ago now, a friend texted her daughter as she couldn't stop coughing in the next room. My Mum would have come in with some cough medicine.

When I was a kid and I or one of my siblings was sick enough to stay in bed, my mother would give us a little silver bell to ring for "service."
