The chips one is pure bullshit, greedy bastards. That's why I don't buy brand name chips, but offbrand refill bags that the local grocer sells in clearance. It's mostly corn chips and torilla chips, but that's about all we eat anyways.

Sometimes they ship the extras or discards to processing centers in bulk for restaurants along with the rest of the restaurant grade chips. These bags get unsealed and the chips put into smaller bags without logos for quick sale in delis, meat stores, or butcher shops, or in this case, a alleged discount store. They are fuller and extremely cheap. Like a $1.35 for 2lbs compared to $5 for 14ozs.
