You know, a lot of our friends may not even know who Richard Nixon was, much less David Frost. IIRC, I watched the Watergate hearings most of the summer when I was thirteen.

Yep, we're pretty much the same age. I remember that one of my classes had an assignment where half the class was to pretend to be for Nixon and half for McGovern, in the year of that election, and then we did election-related stuff - posters, rallies, etc. Thankfully, I was in the McGovern group. *G*

Yep. And now I have to wonder about every other Democrat in the state, and the Chicago government, since my cynical Chicago friends say the machine still lives there.

It just drives me crazy. I mean does this mean Daley really is as crooked as his old man? Half the time I like him, and half the time I don't.

I guess the worst part is knowing you've believed somebody who was lying to your face, just because they said all the "right" things. Grrr...
