09. Fanfiction: discuss
Don't read it too often. I'm more of an RP-er. Not that I haven't found some good short snippets of Fanfic, but I'm not one that goes looking for it. Although, I've played in a few RPGs with authors that do write fanfic and that is something I would read, even if I didn't like the pairing. The main reason I would read it is because I like their writing style and their ability to make the characters alive. It's the reason I read most of the things I read now.
However, I'm not an expert nor am I a true fan of fanfiction. Perhaps if I read more I'd like it better. Although, I've heard enough about bad fanfiction that I'm not too inclined to go looking for it. Don't let that stop you from making suggestions. Never know when I'm in the mood for something.

Almost any scene featuring the Weasley Twins
Those have always been my favorites. Just finished re-reading Goblet of Fire today and the whole Yule Ball is also up there as a favorite. Viktor trying to learn Hermione's name along with Ron accusing Hermione of 'fraternizing' (Big word for him) with the enemy. Fleur and Roger Davies sneaking off to the rose bushes. It's a great chapter; forgot how much I enjoyed it.
I also love the scene with Harry and Sirius talking about the Black family tree. (I do like the wall hanging they created for the film.) It's so interesting to see how much blood really means to certain people in the wizarding world. The Weasleys (purebloods) adopt people like strays no matter what their bloodline, while the Blacks (also purebloods) sever all ties with their own blood if they do something to embarrass the name Black.
