I envy not in any moods
The captive void of noble rage,
The linnet born within the cage,

Although I do love the idea of the Doctor and Rose appearing on The Newlywed Show. [giggles] But the Doctor's right, they'd have to have sex before they could go on the show. Oh, how awful for them. ;-)
Another great chapter!

I was waiting for more quips about the Newlywed Game though - like the question of 'where's the strangest place you made whoopee' or 'what's her bra size?' It's always so funny to hear those answers.
Fantastic chapter by the way. Anxiously waiting the next.

Disco cricket was vivid and when the Doctor made the "beautiful" comment, I actually gasped, knowing what Rose's reaction must surely be. That smarts, and then getting into the idea that the Doctor doesn't leave people -- they leave him -- was equally painful for different reasons. It's a measure of your skill as a writer that you can show their vastly opposite POVs on this even while just writing from Rose's.
And the Doctor's head wound and descent into (more) craziness -- funny at first and then, really intensely worrysome. Ooga booga, indeed.
