Such a great story so far- the characterizations are spot-on and believable. I was impressed with your first chapter, but this one confirms just how good a writer you are. I eagerly await your next installment!

Yay! I'm so happy to see this updated. :D Uhura is so awesome here, she feels so alive and full of breath and wonder and so so human. Not that, you know, I think she was being written like a robot or non-human previously, but I hope you get my drift. o_O; Either way, I love this chapter.

And you mentioned my arch nemesis, the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis! Ooo how it burned to see Uhura defend it! Yet I'm so glad someone write about it in Trek fiction at all, haha. If that makes any sense. :)
