I see another familiar name writing Spock/Uhura. I approve muchly :)

This looks to be a very good Uhura story. I love the backstory you're weaving, the richness of it and the rather interesting choice of tying her mother to the Kelvin as well. Must also add a little love to the extra Gaila you've put in here.

I laughed at quite a few of Spock's line and I love the layers to him through Uhura's POV, as well as the humour in him peeking through at times.

I look forward to more.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how you develop Spock's sense of humor- so many writers seem to think he doesn't have one. He's very much like Spock Prime, only not having to have lived 100+ years to have developed his ability to see the need for humor. Oh, and I love the Vulcan Penis Epic!
