Yesterday was a really shitty day. There was pretty much only one good thing about it, which was SmallvilleI'm essentially watching every single episode of this show that I can reasonably get my hands on. That is to say that if money were no option, I would go out and buy all the DVDs and no one would see me for months. It would be like that ( Read more... )

Everyone I know tells me I have to start watching Smallville immediately. I've only ever seen a couple of episodes, when I used to watch it sometimes when it was on before AtS during s5. I have a feeling that if I ever got into it,I would get sucked completely in, though. It would be bad and I know I would love it entirely too much. I watch too much tv already! But so many people are talking about it these days; it seems to have a lot fo fairly recent recruits.

Well, at least you're aware of it. I was all, "OH PLEASE LIKE I COULD EVER LIKE THAT SHOW." And here I am. *facepalm*

The show is utter crack. I can't believe it's on national TV, really. Because it's like they took every crack premise that I love in fanfic and spent million of dollars filming it and whoever the director for whatever ep is on the boards is pretty much just yelling, "GIVE ME MORE HUNGER. LOOK AT HIM LIKE YOU WANT TO SPREAD HIM OUT ON THE HOOD OF THIS CAR AND MOUTH YOUR WAY DOWN HIS BODY YEAH LIKE THAT OKAY!"

I'm helplessly addicted.

I hate to think of you having a shitty day.
Also, isn't Tom Welling all big and muscle-y? Therefore, how can you like him?
*hugs*

Aw, thank you lovely. Your hugs are very welcome.

*squish you back*

And, ha! Kita keeps asking me the same thing. I don't know! Boreanaz is the gateway drug? Once you start appreciating his manly, manly form, you start noticing other manly forms? It's the only explanation!

DB's form is indeed manly.

Hahaha! They totally did break up! Except that Lex was like, "We're broken up, but we're not, like, BROKEN UP, okay? So I'll see you later? Yeah? You'll call me? Okay."

Bruce and Clark can be more gay, but Lex sets up Clark's mindset for that dynamic

Oh, I like that a *lot*.

how Superman-like was it for Clark to apologize to Lex and be polite even while Lex was ripping him into pieces emotionally?

That was *very* cool. I love Clark so much, his earlier puppyish-ness and open-ness and then again here, where he's all understated tension and protruding jaw muscle and low, calming tones while he goes toe-to-toe with Lex. LAAAARGH.

Not only do they have their own comic together, it's actually called Superman/Batman. Pre-slashed for your convenience. ;-)

And if anyone hasn't seen the S/B Annual for this year, you must check it out. I mean, ros_fod, if you think Smallville is hitting every fanfic cliche... they actually pull the "only one cabin left on the cruise ship, so you two manly superhero-type men must share a bed!" thing.

I like Chloe a lot, but Lana and Clark are too pretty. They're scary pretty.

Tom Welling is very very tall. I wonder if he's unusually strong too?

It's fun reading these comments because you're just getting into the show.

I'm sorry you're having a bad day.

Oh, man, esp. in those earlier seasons, Lana is RIDICULOUSLY beautiful. To the extent where I started to suspect *she* was an alien, too. Kreuk's aged very well, I think, but she looks a little withered. She was so skinny before, and now she's almost emaciated. Yikes. Please visit the craft cart more often! Please!

And, yes, Clark is scarily pretty as well. Sometimes I mutter at the screen, "Okay, seriously now. THAT IS NOT FAIR." But I think Lex gives Clark a run for his money in the looks dept., so it all balances out for me.

Today is better! Thank you!

And, heeeeeeee. I'm sure these notes are pretty funny. I'm totally in that stage of early-fannish love.

Because in Office fandom, I'm like the cranky old muppets who sit up in the balcony and mock the badfic, and then mysteriously keep coming back for more. (agate is the Statler to my Waldorf.)
