You know, for the first time with this story I'm not completely certain what I think of a chapter. And that may be because I'm not sure where you're going with this, and I know there's something going on with the Doctor, which still has me intrigued. But I don't know. I really don't know why this chapter leaves me a little unsettled and less engaged than the rest ( ... )

As always, I really appreciate your insightful comments.

The problem is that I don't really know how to respond to them without being spoilery. :) I will say that "unsettled" doesn't necessarily displease me. Things are taking a turn. The Doctor is... struggling.

I'll actually be very interested to hear what you (and others) think when the series is finished. At the risk of sounding ludicrously vain, when this is all over, I will likely open a discussion post to get some feedback on the story as a whole, what worked and what didn't.

But thank you again for letting me know what your thoughts are. It's so interesting to me to see what people are connecting with.

Actually, your reply does help, because I wondered after posting if you actually intended this effect. I can see some struggling on the Doctor's part, certainly, and you more than hinted at it in earlier chapters.

I'm still suspecting that I'm probably expecting a bit more than you intend to deliver, though, since you have made clear that it's primarily a Doctor/Rose story, with Jack on the side. So I can't exactly say I haven't been warned! ;)

Still enjoying this story! Very hot, love the character dynamics as they shift. It strikes me that you've got three rather insecure people at the moment, for very different reasons. I love, love stories in which Nine is all "Oi, you two! Get up! There's something shiny over there!" the morning after. That strikes me as so *him*.

Although the last bit--sorry, assplay squicks me. It just does. But hey, if Rose wants to try it, more power to her.

I eagerly await more!

Heh. Nine *has* to get up, doesn't he? Sigh. He's such a spaz. :)

As for your note: I can promise you I handle things as delicately as possible. Hopefully with minimal squick. ;)

Ooooh, another wonderful chapter. I find myself once again quoting Rose: 'Good' doesn't quite seem to cover it. I like the turns that the characters are taking here, although you're making me very nervous about the Doctor's insecurity.

Oh, dear. This is going to get angsty, isn't it?

*overly-dramatic sigh* Oh well. I suppose I'll just have to buck up and push on. It's such a burden, having to read something so full of hot Nine/Rose/Jack. ;)

""That's right! Once you go Jack, you never..."

OMG, I actually say that sometimes about Jack, lol!

Very nice chapter and I like how insecure the Doctor seems.

I have to say, I giggled right out loud when I wrote that line. Heh. He has that effect on all of us! Thanks for commenting!

Ah-ha! I knew there would be complications! There are always complications, even for Mr. "It doesn't matter to me." Meanwhile, Jack's being awfully patient with the Doctor, because I feel sure that Jack can read the Doctor at a slightly different level than Rose.

I liked the way you've written Rose as trying hard to be as mature and worldly (or maybe galactic-y) as the boys, but inevitably failing at times because she is, after all, less than a fifth of the age of the younger of the two men. And yet, both Jack and the Doctor are not only understanding, but deferential and protective.

I'm really enjoying this story, not just because it's a threesome (which would trip my trigger anyway) but because you've done a good job with thoughtful characterizations and a careful story. The Doctor rushing through the hall shouting about the green planet was absolutely perfect!

And, happily, looks like a hot sex scene forthcoming. Go you!

I'm so glad the characters are ringing true to you. I think they each have both bravado and vulnerability, and it makes me happy to take advantage of them for my own nefarious amusement. :)

And yes, Part Five's rating does indeed go back up! Woo!
