Reposted from an email my brother sent me, here's a commentary (behind the cut) on Bush's recent decision to commute Scooter's sentence, despite his career executive decisions so much to the contrary, it's laughable

Well, let's be fair.

Bush KNOWS that Libby's trial and conviction were unfair, because Libby WAS JUST A TOOL. Libby was not the perpetrator of any of the actions for which he was convicted, and the current squatter in occupant of the Oval Office knows this.

Maybe he really meant to send him to Guantanamo, and just slipped. But my bet's on the gift basket. I mean, I'm sure it seems like it'd be hard to miss gitmo and click commute accidentally, but y'know, maybe he was sloshed that day. ;)
