The game between Shindou and Hong SuYeong from Episode 36. Because I obsess over their games too much. I'd probably download the sgf file of this game if I could find it. I know I'm distracting myself from writing, I should get rid of that nasty habit ( Read more... )

A Hikago author who also actually plays go??? Can it be true? (It's sooo frustrating when I'm reading brilliant Hikago fic and suddenly, with one subtly misused piece of go terminology, no doubt meticulously chosen from Sensei's, the author makes it painfully obvious that she has never played a game of go in her life.)

And you wrote Iijima/Nase fic!! This makes you a total winner in my book, so much that I am delurking to comment.

Oh, hi, and I'm glad you found my fic good enough to delurk! ^_^

Part of HikaGo's appeal to me was learning the ins and outs of the game, and figuring out all of those "Whoa! That's a great move!" moments in the manga, so I picked it up from sites and all sorts of free go apps. I have tried (unsuccessfully) to use the game for a non-HikaGo fic, but knowing someone's interested in a fic with actual games will spur me to finish An TaeSon's story. Do you play go too? It's quite addicting, isn't it?

I totally know what you mean! And I have to agree that the game between Hong Suyeong and Hikaru was one of the most exciting to watch. If you ever need any sgf's from the show, go here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~rongen17/Hikaru/index.html

Now you better finish that An TaeSon story!

I am so thrilled that there's a fellow go-player in the fandom, especially one who writes excellent fic. Yay! Do you by any chance play on KGS? (If you don't, you should!) I think the url is gokgs.com or something.
