As always I'm glad you're enjoying it and continuing to read^^ I thought it was about time I gave a little bit of Hotsuma's POV on the events so far as well as create a bit of tension for what's to come ♥ more to come soon~

I love seeing Hotsuma getting angry and frustrated over losing contact with Shusei, not purely because of this, but he was more angry at himself realising he doesn't actually know much about Shusei at all. He made his best effort to try and reach him regardless. His banter with Kuroto made me smile :3 And the way Hotsuma snapped at Tsukumo and Touko and feels guilty about it? The blonde needs a big hug from Shusei ;w;
Tsukumo is a sweetheart, whichever universe he is in! It makes me happy to see Tsukumo and Touko-chan being a couple rather than siblings, especially after the recent manga chapters!
Masa-chan, I love the new chapter length! I can read it in one go during my break times with no disruptions :3

"a large part of this fic deals with the conflicts of the world that the hosts live in and the perception of their profession and having characters "outside" that sphere is an important aspect to that."
THAT! That I forgot to mention -- It was very fun to read, no, to explore as a character. It was an original trait given to a predefined character and it really fit with Shusei's coldness as seen in the manga. Also it continues to be a pivotal point of the story. Well played, I must say!
I'll be on the look-out for more. Cheers! :D

I always thought Shusei's personality was perfect for the role of a host--because in researching them you see that they have to be rather cold in order to do the job they do. Seeing this so much in Shusei is really what drove me to write this story because I definitely saw him relating to the job of a host. I imagine that the "girlfriends" he had in the manga were treated in much the same way he treats the girls in my AU--doing all the right things but never really having any feeling behind the actions he was performing--of course until Hotsuma comes along^^
Thanks again for the comment and discussion!
