Honestly, I have to say that during the writing process otherwise known as bashing my head against the brick wall that led to the birth of this story, my only saving grace was the thought, "Didn't Dual kind of like that other Shisui fic I wrote? Maybe I can con her into reading this..."

Oh my god, I love your Shisui; he's such a little bastard. His attitude "problem" is also a win...mostly because it makes him one of the more normal people in the entire clan, if not the entire series.

And Sasuke is adorable-tastic in all his needy, sulky glory.

Part I implies there's MORE. MORE! YAY!

It is probably highly narcissistic to get so involved with your own characterization of a minor character that you feel the need to write a bazillion words about him, but I am totally okay with admitting that. I feel like the Shisui in this story is older, colder and more jaded than when last I wrote him (3 years ago! D:), but oh well, parental death and being a child soldier will do that. Also: Itachi.

Oh, there will be more, alright. Probably very soon, since most of it including the end has been laid out already, and I am kind of in a race against Kishimoto time here. I WILL NOT BE JOSS'D.
