I was trying to figure out what Shisui could have been doing for Madara in The Burning of Paper Instead of Children. Anyway, this story isn’t it, but it was way more fun to write. It should either make you laugh or creep you out - if it does both, I'd be very chuffed.

Okay, so for the fic. Let's just keep it simple and say it broke me into pieces. I probably held my breath through half of it because the unrequited love hurt. Just, all that fruitless devotion... and the whole time Madara's being a shit who plays on people's emotions like it's a game and enjoys it. Forget Darth Vader, Madara's the most evil villain in my book. ;_____;

And Itachi, oh bb. I can imagine that ending scene happening in the actual manga. It's sad because I love the idea of heroes, but Madara can seriously make everything negative. How could he do that to Shisui, the perfect golden boy? I'm scanning through the fic again and I'm actually tearing up.

Trufax: someone told me that in this fic I managed to "marry" Madara and Shisui, which initially horrified me until I realized that THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DID. I made Shisui marry his creepy abusive ancestor. WHY DO I DO THESE THINGS? D:

Believe it or not, Madara probably thinks that he's doing Shisui a big favor and all the suffering is just a necessary part of his "journey". This is not actually my perception of canon Madara, but I just thought... what if he were capable of this kind of subtle cruelty?

This story really amused me at first, but by the end I was a little bit upset. I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN A SPLASH-STYLE ROMCOM INSTEAD.

Oh please, Shisui would look beautiful in a wedding dress. And I suppose Madara too. I'll bet my money that your mind was secretly channeling these facts into the story. ;)

Non-canon depictions of Madara sort of beat canon!Madara's ass. In the manga, he's just sort of this... guy who I dislike. In fics though, wow, no words can describe how evil he is. Being a despicable person makes him more attractive just because he's Madara. IDEK.
