I haven't read any of the drabbles or the fic yet, but I would just like to say that I can't stand Valentine's Day also. Except I usually don't feel bitter, and the only thing that bugs me about not having someone to share it with is that I don't have anyone to buy me chocolates. And it doesn't even have anything to do with the sentimental aspect of it. I'd just rather that someone else bought me chocolates because I'm cheap, and I don't want to buy my own. When I was in high school, I dressed in all black every year to protest the day. My college is having some Valentine's Day brunch. Poo. Although there's some dish with mango salsa that I want to try, but I won't because I'm protesting the day.
LOL, I hear you with the chocolates. I was having that discussion with my father last night, about how I really only want someone to buy me chocolates. And then he said he'd buy me chocolates this year, and so I felt special.

I think I might just do that. Everyone else is going to be wearing red, pink, and white and too much of that might make me hurl. UGH.

Hahaha. There used to be all of these girls in my school dressed in what I thought looked like Pepto Bismol pink. And when some of my friends who liked Valentine's Day tried to point out what was nice about it, like getting candy and flowers, I'd say, "What if you're a diabetic? And flowers can trigger allergies, furthermore, they die." Anything to try and get them to see how silly the day was.
Oh God, Pepto Bismol pink. Being someone who hates the color pink in general, that just makes me sick.
And when some of my friends who liked Valentine's Day tried to point out what was nice about it, like getting candy and flowers, I'd say, "What if you're a diabetic? And flowers can trigger allergies, furthermore, they die."
LOL. The ONE time I got a flower from someone, it was a rose that had thorns. But I was happy to have gotten a flower. Of course, I was embarrased by the person who gave me the flower so I refused to tell my friends who had given it to me. In retaliation, they ripped up my flower. They swear to this day they can't remember doing it.
*ahem* So, see? Flowers are bad all the way around. Hmph.
Awww! My drabble was perfect thank you! I so needed a good C/C moment to tie me over till if/when it ever happens on the show.
I too totally despise valentines day...past elementary school it just sucks for a kid unless you have a b/f-g/f. I loved it in elementary school when you made EVERYONE a valentine and you made the fun little mailboxes and would go around and deliver the valentines...I enjoyed that...but now just f it is al lI have to say.

I loved that, too. Then Middle School came and the holiday went downhill. ;)
*squees over all the loffly drabbles* My favorite was "Party Games." *squees some more*
And I hate Valentine's Day, too, don't worry. Just an excuse for people to squash their acts of love into one day rather than spreading it out year-round... And it's absolutely sickening to watch all of the pathetic high schoolers in their meaningless relationships on Valentine's Day. I almost hate it even more when the boyfriend-less girls wah-wah over how sad they are that they have no one! Rargh!
Anyway, HERE is the link to the whole thing. Though, I have to warn you...I was planning to re-edit the whole thing, but I only edited the first few chapters, so if you read those and then realize that the flashbacks and stuff are never clarified, it's because I never finished. Looking back, I see that I probably should never have re-edited. Ah, well.
