Grim Reaper's Havin' a Field Day

Jun 25, 2009 18:15

First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett today. Now CNN and ABC News.com are reporting that Michael Jackson died of that heart attack he had today. Jeez!

I understand that the Harlem Boys Choir will perform at his funeral.

Dressed in Speedos.

Just like he would've wanted.

(Too soon?)

(Too soon?)

Not soon enough, really. I have mixed feelings, split between, "It's a shame he died," and, "Maybe now Teh Creepy will finally fucking STOP."

Farrah, Ed Mc, those guys I'll mourn a bit. Mr. The Glove, not so much.

I feel sadder about Sky Saxon dying, myself.

I dearly love living in a "Guilty until proven innocent" culture.

Y' know. You're right. roninjedi June 26 2009, 22:52:22 UTC
However, every Human culture has, and will always be a "guilty until proven innocent" culture. I'm just as prone to that kind of peasant thinking as the next person. It is for that very reason, because "Innocent until proven guilty" is so counter-intuitive, that we find it necessary to codify it into law. There's a good chance MJ was only guilty of being a perpetually damaged 5 year old himself. (Thank his asshole dad for that) Reality has never stood in the way of cruel humor, however. And my humor can be quite cruel, at times. (Perpetually damaged 10 year old, here)

Love him or hate him, the man was phenomenally talented. Thriller & Billy Jean were fantastic songs & videos, and that only scratches the surface.

Too bad he went bug-nuts crazy after his 3-way transporter accident with Diana Ross and an albino...

Ease on down the road, Jacko. You'll be remembered.

He was truly gifted. Whatever he may, or may not have done, a man that talented deserved to be happy. He never was, though, and that's a greater tragedy than his death, in my opinion.

You know, if I didn't want to read that sort of thing that soon, I wouldn't have friended you in the first place.

I have friended you. Ergo....
