I had never been banned from a journal before today, so I didn't know that was possible. I'm kinda proud!

Unfortunately the troll post was deleted before I could even see it and bask in its joy. I guess the guy sits on Refresh or has a custom client or something. Either that or I'm just slow.

I'm suddenly very curious whose journal this is, although I can make shrewd guesses...

Yes, this is a late reply. I'm still getting used to this interweb thing and the Google.

jwz. He was making ad hominem attacks on a furry, about being a furry, for disagreeing with him one something completely unrelated. The furry guy wasn't asking for it at all-- he was completely polite. The attack just came out of nowhere and seemed a bit... odd. It reminded me an awful lot of gay-bashing by in-the-closet homophobes.

I made some kind of comment that for a fey cobbler who uses a Mac, he seemed rather judgemental. (A couple pictures from one of his nightclub's Halloween parties a couple years ago were of him in some kind of weird costume that his girlfriend commented made him look like a gay cobbler.) I didn't phrase it that diplomatically.

For someone who looks as weird as he does and who hosts such weird (and sometimes genuinely disturbing) events at his nightclub, he's awfully judgemental of others' appearance and personal lives.

"weird and sometimes genuinely disturbing" ...

I can only *imagine* how weird they might be if that's YOUR summation of it. I mean you're not exactly run-of-the-mill either! :)

(Oh, and if you're wondering who I am, you may remember me years and years and years and years ago from IRC as "weirdguy")

So says the guy who used to go by "weirdguy"!

The "genuinely disturbing" part is people hanging on meathooks, literally. Big ones, and only two of them per person, twenty feet off the floor.

Just to continue the rant: he also hosts events that feature people on stage for just about every type of sexual fetish, routine as well as not-so-routine. And yet furries are apostate?

The problem might be that he's confusing furries with pedophiles, but I'm not sure. All he ever does is ban furries who ask. Maybe he's a closeted furry himself or something...

(I already replied to Cap's same question, but since I'm posting this reply about four years after your post ( ... )
