A decade or two ago, I was an officer in the Libertarian Party of Chicago. Some wingnuts in the organization decided it would a swell idea to march with ACORN to protest whatever war was on at the time. I was aghast at the tone-deafness this implied and immediately resigned. I've not been involved in politics much since.

I have been pondering your reply. I am so fed up of politics that I am happy to walk away into the sunset. Parties are good for single issue dudes like myself. Robert Ambridge (Old Holborn) was a libertarian. Also a free speech absolutist. Until his name and address were published.
