It was a phrase I heard elsewhere, like half a thousand is a big deal. I did 500 with Independent Minds and a few more since.

John Rentoul? But seriously folks...yes there is something of Generation Z about it, I heard that Twitter will take over (just as I predicted, cough, cough, that Chatroulette would). Blogging is the first time in western history that the average Joe has a voice - for weil or woe as my Scots bredrin would say. That is why The Indy took down "Minds", that is why comments keep disapperaing. Finally, a few years ago the student protest would have been rounded of with many "Tut-tuts". Now all can see that there is something deeply wrong with policing. Land for for heroes? WE are still waiting.

The banning of comment and Robbie Burns. Yes, well, it seems to me that a few of the staffers at the Indy are running frit. Lets face it how good are Jacobson, Patterson, Rentoul and (coughing noises) Burchill? I do not blame AY Lebedev but SI Kelner. Marx said we would overthrow the bourgoise then be overthrown in turn. Tricky cove, Marx. Jewish, eh?

Had nice chat with REAL asylum seeker last night. He is Tibetan, makes a change from the Somalians who are just economic migrants. Why do we accord one ethnic group a better image than another? Why is Tibet trendy but not West Papua?
