When I fed the poor they called me a saint, when I asked why they were poor they called me a communist. Looking at the rather bland Foreign Office site for Latin America it said to beware of the terrorist threat. They say that Hizbollah has a South American base. They say its in the border area between Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina. "They" might be making it up, of course.
I happened to go there once, but saw no Islamic fundamentalists. Unless they were in disguise.

1. Not at all surprised. In the early 1990s the IRA had a clandestine unit in Brazil. Sounds very "Marathon Man" to me!
