Legitimacy, Unite against fascism and Udmurtia.

A reckless claim indeed to say one would prefer to live in Izhevsk. The capital of Udmurtia is an unlovely concrete conurbation of decaying Brezhnev-era tower-blocks. Nothing of beauty catches the eye along Lenin Street (which is, unsurprisingly, the main street). The usual grief-exploitation-for-xenophobia War Memorial stands on Victory Square. Although the Wild Mushrooms In Sour Cream are quite nice at "The Royal Hunt" restaurant, would-be exiles might find this small pickings for a future lifetime stretched out among the Udmurts. "House Of Books" had two books in English when last checked - "Great Expectations" in a simplified-English for non-native-speakers edition, and the collected short stories of O.Henry.

Ulitsa Lenina. But what of krasivi dyevchonki? Pobedy ploshad. As I said to a Russian in Khimki "For us the war was longer, for you it was harder". Dom knigi, yes in Sochi it was the same, two books by Wilde, poor translations, though I take the palm for correcting errors in English/pa angliski.
