Simply because it is a word that was created by Tolkien (at least from what I've heard) and is something Tolkien has done, it's okay with me. ;)
I honestly think it's very interesting, especially since authors such as Tolkien take ideas and archetypes from existing mythologies to create their own.

I guess i was curious as to what pple thought about artificial mythologies-ie creating our own that may be new ideas etc....
