Chapter 5
Kame was rushing to Yamapi’s door when it opened for him.
“Ne, Kame-kun, why are you rushing?” said Mrs. Yamashita who had opened the door.
“Mrs.Yamashita-san!” Kame bowed to the older woman.
“Pi-chan is inside packing his clothes. The doctor said he can come home today. I am just going to settle the bills. You’re coming with us, right?” Mrs. Yamashita said.
“Eh, sure I will help you with Yamapi,” Kame said as his farewell to her and entered the room.
“Going somewhere?” Kame said as he walked toward Yamapi who was arranging his clothes in the bag.
“Hey, babe, you’re here!” Yamapi said as he kissed Kame’s lips and hugged him. Kame was stunned by Yamapi’s action-he missed those kisses, and kissed his lover back. They pulled away from each other only when they ran out of oxygen.
“Ne, Kame, sorry. I didn’t mean to… kiss you… I don’t know what got into me. Hope you’re not mad?” Yamapi set his pleading eyes on Kame.
“Huh… okay… I…” Kame was confused. He thought that Yamapi already knew about their past.
“Okay let’s go!” Mrs. Yamashita said as she and Rina walked into the room.
Kame and Yamapi both nodded and grabbed the bag-their fingers touched and they both blushed. Rina just giggled when she saw that and thought that Yamapi’s memory will be back if Kazuya is always with him.

When they reached Yamapi’s apartment, but before Yamapi could open the door, Rina said, “Ah… Mom, you forgot that we have to go somewhere!” Then she tugged her mother out of the building.
“Eh, we do?” Mrs. Yamashita was confused but when she met her daughter’s eyes she understood. “Yes, we do! Ne, Tomo we have to go, we don’t want to be late for our appointment. Kazuya can take care of you, so that’s settled then. Ja, ne!”
Mrs. Yamashita turned around and followed her daughter, giving a wink to Kazuya as they left.
The two just stared for a moment, then shrugged it off and continued to open the door of Yamapi’s apartment.
“Sorry about that. You are the one who is taking care of me,” Pi said as he opened the door.
“Don’t worry about that,” Kame said as he grinned and picked up the bag and moved inside.
“Oh shit!” Kame whispered as he remembered that Yamapi’s apartment was full of their memories and they hadn’t cleaned or kept it a safe place so Yamapi wouldn’t be confused.
“Ne, Kazu is there something wrong?” Yamapi said as he waited for the other to move into the apartment.
“Ah… Pi, you can stay in a hotel for the night. I will just clean your apartment. You know, you stayed in the hospital for some time and no one cleaned your apartment,” Kame said as he blocked Yamapi from the door.
“What’s wrong with you? Mom said that she already cleaned my apartment so now move. Ha ha ha!” Yamapi laughed as he gently pushed Kame aside and entered the apartment.
As Kame entered the apartment he saw a picture of them on Yamapi’s table so he immediately blocked the view of the picture and tried to hide it from Yamapi.
“Ah!! We can eat first, there’s a new restaurant across the street and they serve your favorite pasta,” Kame quickly said as he grabbed Yamapi’s shoulder and turned him around to face the door.
“Kazu!!!! I’m really tired and my head is spinning. I don’t want to go out again. We can order in if you like, but please we are not going out.” Yamapi whined as he turned around to be face to face with Kame only one inch apart. Kame gulped and licked his lips nervously. Yamapi was stunned as he saw Kame lick his lips; it was so alluring in his eyes. He wanted to taste those lips again.
“Eh…Oh.. okay, you should go to your room instead and I will order some food for us,” Kame said as he pushed Yamapi into his room. When they opened the door they were both shocked by what they saw.
“What the….? Kame said as he looked up at a blown-up picture of them kissing on the wall of Yamapi’s bedroom.
Yamapi on the other hand walked into the room. When he saw the picture, his head started spinning and hurting.
“Ah!!! Itaii!!!!” Yamapi shouted as he grabbed his head to slow the spinning or to making the pain stop.
“Pi! What’s wrong?” Kame panicked and sat beside Yamapi. he did not know what to do when he saw his boyfriend in such pain.
“Don’t go anywhere!” Yamapi said and grabbed Kame’s hands tightly. Kame didn’t move and waited for Yamapi’s next move.
“It’s okay now?” Kame said. When he saw Yamapi’s relieved expression he knew that the pain had started to go away.
“Hai, thanks,” Yamapi said, still holding Kame hands and slouching to the floor.
“We should get back to the hospital and-“ Kame started to say, but a pair of lips shut him up. His eyes grew wide as he tasted the sweet lips that he missed so much, so he kissed back.
They were both panting and reaching for air. Kame blushed; he didn’t want to see Yamapi’s eyes.
“Babe, you’re cute when you’re blushing”, Yamapi teased and put a soft kiss on the other’s lips.
“Why are you calling me that?” Kame was hoping that Yamapi remembered something and that was why he called him that twice already.
“I… remember…” Yamapi said as his stroked Kame’s hands with his own. Kame fidgeted when he heard that.
“I’m sorry, babe, that I forgot about us,” Yamapi whispered as he cupped Kame’s head and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
“When did you remember?” Kame said as his tears ran down his face.
“I remembered it piece by piece. At first I thought it was just my imagination. You know that I loved you since a long time ago, right?” Yamapi smiled and Kame nodded as he remembered that.
“Then Toma and Ryo told me yesterday that it was not my imagination, but memories of us together and it made me happy.” Yamapi smiled remembering his feelings when he learned the truth.
“Oh… wait…. You knew already yesterday and you kept it from me?” Kame was annoyed as he remembered the kiss they shared at the hospital, so he pouted.
“Babe, don’t pout. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you in the hospital. It was just that even though Ryo and Toma told me, I still doubted it. But the memories I have today make me sure that they are telling me the truth. And you answered my kiss and it meant a lot to me,” Yamapi said as he hugged his turtle like he didn’t want to ever let go.
“Okay, you’re forgiven, and I’m sorry, too, that we quarreled before your accident. I will never forgive myself for what happened to you,” Kame said as he caressed his boyfriend’s face.
“I’m sorry, too. I was blinded by my insecurities regarding our relationship.” Yamapi quickly hugged him back.
“No! It was my fault. I promise you I will never hide our relationship from our friends anymore.” Kame hugged his boyfriend even tighter.
To be continued.
