I have no idea what to say.

So yeah, doing my yearly check-in. I guess? It seems less and less people are around these days. Are you all on tumblr now ( Read more... )

They pinched your name? Not cool! All my fic is stored on AO3, yes indeed. I still post it here when I ever write any - which is seldom nowadays. AO3 is a bit clunky - you have to remember to fill in every box. It's a bright spot in my day when any of the "old" crowd pokes a head over the parapet - yes, it's very quiet. I look at Facebook too ... tumblr confuses me.

There's an artist in the UK whose professional name is romanyg (not kidding!). So if it's him, that's cool. But still, why not use the account to showcase his work? Or something. *sad face*

I've started uploading some things to AO3. So far, so good. The interface isn't as challenging as I'd thought it would be.

I've recognized some old fandom names over at tumblr, but I don't like the comment/reply thingie. Harder to have a conversation.

Hi hi hi! I am not on Tumblr, although many are. Tumblr is more about pics than talking, and I like to talk.

I have no clue what Wattpad is. Most everyone I know is uploading their fic to AO3, if they haven't already. I put mine up there ages ago.

Lately I have been sucked into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I'm reading all the Tony/Loki fic. Brilliant, emotionally stunted assholes who snark at each other and have hot enemy sex. It's like they know my soul.

Also I loved Captain America: The Winter Soldier beyond reason. Steve is my hero and Bucky owns my soul. I stuck with Agents of SHIELD despite its mediocrity and I was happy with how the events in CA:TWS affected the series. They should have made it a spy story from the start, instead of wasting time with weird-case-of-the-week stories.

I've also gotten obsessed with The Originals on the CW. The fandom is tiny, but the show hits all my buttons.

In other words, I'm still here! It's been a long time since I've written fic, but I still check LJ most every day.

Hi! *squish* I have a tumblr but don't do much but poke around occasionally. It is pic-oriented and I'm more of a talker. But I have run across some fandom names there - and they do seem to be *very* active. I just want a *central* fandom place again. *sigh* And maybe there is? I'm just old and don't know how to find it.

Wattpad is a writing platform for sharing work. Most of it's original work, but the young kids (and I'm talking tweens and such) go there to share their fic when they first get into fandom. I know that's how my kids started. And yes, they're in fandom now (the older one's a BNF, seriously). Awkward!

MCU is the big go-to fandom now. DCU is messing up big time. Where's my Wonder Woman movie? I do love all the MCU movies though. I tried with AoS. I really did. But I was too disappointed to continue. Maybe I should play catch-up.

I haven't been reading *any* fic though. Bad me!

I will try to be better about checking LJ. One upside to the dearth of people is that my flist is quite manageable now!

I would be amused more if I didn't have to yell at my kid to get offline and do homework. You know, all the mom stuff I have to say. Plus I'm not allowed to go anywhere near their journals or fandom things. But I wouldn't be comfortable with them reading mine either, so there we go. *g*

*waves back!*

I'm still figuring AO3 out, but it is nice to have a panfandom place!

As you can tell, still here, still writing, though omg, slowly.

I have no idea what the rest of your post means...HAH!! roxy the dinosaur. Everyone else will be gone from here and I'll still be roaming along, a giant walking fossil writing SpN fanfic and wondering why no one comments, like ever....

Damn. That's depressing, LOL!!!

Yay, I'm glad you're here!

From what little I can tell, tumblr seems to be the place where the new fans go. I've seen some of the old fandom names I'm familiar with at least link to their work here or at AO3 over there. I just can't stand the interface. If you're a dinosaur, I'm one too. *g*

Hi! Nice to see you too!

I'm tinkering with tumblr (do not like!) and I have a Facebook because my family makes me (but I get to see pics of all the cousins and niblings, so there's that).

And Ravelry? Good for you, you must be crafty!

I can crochet very rudimentary things. Two needles is beyond me. And hee, I only understood half of what you said because I'm so uncrafty. But I respect and am in awe of craftiness.
