HI GUYS HI. I WENT TO A ROCK SHOW.

Okay, so the opening band was a band called Heartless Bastards and, in something that will only make sense to inlovewithnight, it was totally Layla and Dane's band, but there wasn't a Dane, but the guitarist was *totally* John. Also, the bassist was a pseudo Patrick Stump. Very strange ( Read more... )

They were good and fun. Also, the guitarist cracked me up. He was *so* totally into it. I'm going to have to check out their stuff.

Always a good time. Also bonus hanging out with fangirls, so that made it even better.

Truckers. YOU ARE AWESOME. I kind of love them, no lie.

(I really wanted there to be a Dane, because it's not Layla without Dane, but it was SO TOTALLY JOHN. Imaginary band of my HEART)

I figured out what was off about the energy yesterday, but now I've forgotten. It's quite possible that it was just the fact that I was sick and I'm not 100% into "Go-Go Boots". Also, it was belmanoir's first show, and Cooley wasn't wearing an ugly shirt at *all*.

I love Go-Go Boots--I had to sit and listen to it on repeat before it clicked, but then again, that's true with me and every album! I really like "Pulaski" and "Used to Be a Cop." Then again, I have a soft spot for murder ballads!

He wasn't? LOL the one he wore the first night in DC was ugly enough for EVERYONE, haha.

I like a few of the songs, but it doesn't feel like an "album" to me. I don't know. It's just not clicking for me at all.

He and Patterson were wearing almost-matching shirts though, which was obviously a sign of their OTPness.
