This is a good post. ♥ I was rather horrified that people instantly started @replying Pete with stuff. We don't actually have a right to any of these peoples' personal lives, and even if it's the most amicable divorce ever it's not going to be easy for any of them.
TBH I'm just as concerned for Ashlee as I am for Pete, if not more, because I'm sure the vitriol that "fans" are sending her is...awful. I don't even want to think about it, but based on what people said about her when they got married (a happy occasion!) I can imagine what they're saying when she's ~~breaking his heart~~ (even though we have ZERO evidence; if anything, the evidence points to an entirely amicable mutual event).
And on your first point, I LOVE celebs that are BFFs. Like Leo and Kate, or Leo and Tobey McGuire. It makes me happy.
5. Yeah, god, and Ashlee too. My first thought (after the initial sadness for both of them) was that it was going to lead to a hell of a lot of Ashlee hate and probably Bebe hate as well, because CLEARLY she stole him away from Ashlee or some bullshit like that. I don't even know. This makes me sad.
I hope someone took their phones and computers and televisions away. I really just hope for the best for all of them. Ugh. It's an awful thing to have to deal with, and I can't even imagine the pressure of being famous.
I hope so too. We talked a little bit about what it would be, but it's Children's Hospital, so I'm hoping that they have it kind of semi-nice for kids.
Which reminds me I need to call the imaging department.
I didn't realize he hadn't had one before during this process. My hospital hands out earplugs, which I thought was standard, but some don't so you might want to have some on hand. Just the foamy kind you can pick up at any drugstore.
If he has a comfort blanket or something as long as there's no metal they should let him keep it. I take the shawl my sister crocheted for me with me all the time.
I know you have kids who use their imaginations so maybe he'll like my trick. I do it as "writing a story" but he could pretend it's him traveling in the noisy spaceship to the new planet.
If/when he has to have the EMG, ask me anything you want about it. I just recently had one.
Children's Hospital should be great at this. Luck and love to you both.
Yeah, this is the first time. He's had a few exams and some blood work, now an EKG. MRI is next Thursday and then the EMG to follow if necessary. I'll definitely suggest the story thing to him. I know he'll dig that. He's a good kid about stuff like that, so hopefully he'll be all right.
He's actually kind of excited for an EMG. Not for the needle, but to hear his muscles.
Oh god people are actually @replying to Pete with this crap? WTF people? It's even worse because Pete actually does look at that stuff. God I hope he's being sensible and staying away from the internet. I know that being in the public eye means that kind of stuff will come your way, but it still blows my mind what people get up to.
And, despite what one of my coworkers said, I'm not excited because now he's "free". Oh god no. I don't want him to be 'free' I want him to be HAPPY.
I haven't looked, but I can only imagine that they are. Some people think that because he's in the public eye and because he *does* interact with the fans that they have the right to do/say what they want to him. UGH. I hate it. Trust me, he's having a rough time as it is, people. Leave him alone.

I'm pretending that Gabe and Carden and William are all over at his house, hanging out...or helping him move. LOL. FAILIEST MOVERS EVER.
Carden: "Dude. We're taking the flat screen. Bronx doesn't need a 60 inch screen to watch Yo Gabba Gabba!. You want to scar the kid for life? Man."
William: "Sixty inches is for porn."
Gabe: "Only when it's your dick, Bilvy."
Pete: ::half-laughing, half-trying-not-to-cry. loves his friends a LOT::
