I'm speechless! Or close. What I remember most in this story is how John keeps pushing and pushing Kevin past his limits, past what Kevin thinks is acceptable. In a way, he uses Kevin, but Kevin seems to need this friendship and this comfort.

I hope you can have a story where they meet up again more recently.

I think part of John's pushing comes from knowing Kevin needs this goodbye; whereas much of Kevin's resistance coms from not knowing what John wants or needs this from.

As for a future fic, well...you never know!
