this post makes me remember first getting dragged into bandom by a friend who sent me off to the internet with all the panic and mcr recs, and was very surprised when i returned going 'cobras! And tai! Omg bandom is a wonderful place! Oh and i guess those other bands you told me about are ok too.'

The way i think of it is that the smaller your corner of fandom, the more your fics are appreciated or remembered.
