Rambling, because it's too early to go to bed

So apparently there is family drama, and I have no desire whatsoever to be involved in it, but it seems to be centered around my mom and so I doubt I'll have much choice. While I have to say I'm not surprised by the turn of events, I am definitely saddened by it. But then, I think my priorities (and my family - meaning my mom, my sister) are ( Read more... )

For a few reasons, Jade and I both know a lot about vibrators. ;-) So ask away if you have any questions.

Shall do! I'm worried I'll get in the store and there will be EIGHTY ZILLION of them and I will flail and buy the prettiest color.

I'd say sticking to your shenanigans list at the moment is a good decision.

I fully support the buying of vibrators, they're awesome. While aware how creepy it sounds, I'll be virtually cheering you on if you decide to buy.

Yeah. Just a little bit of my regular list felt overwhelming. It's sad, because I miss seeing what's going on in people's lives, but have to take care of my own brain first.

I wonder what a pro-vibrator cheer would sound like?

I like vibrators, but sometimes the vibrations are super distracting. I prefer glass dildos, personally, I don't think you can go wrong with them. Some of them are super inexpensive nowadays, and you can get all sorts of lovely designs, and many are dishwasher safe and shatter resistant. Plus I love how smooth they are, so they slide well without needing much in the way of lube, and they've got a nice heavy, solid feel.

LOL. No dishwasher cleansing for me. I can just see the kidlets opening the dishwasher at the wrong moment. ::dies::

I'm not pro- or anti- any particular device. Vibrators just seem to be the most common go-to of the women I've talked to. But options are always good. :D

Thanks! I'm a little wary of having them around at all - not that my kids are nosy really, but as much as explaining sex to them was fine, I'm really not in the mood to explain sex toys just yet. Especially ones their parent/s own. Heee.

It's just kind of overwhelming. I mean, if being in fandom has taught me anything, it's that there are a LOT of things out there for this particular purpose. Heee.

Babeland.com's "How to Choose a Vibrator" post might be of use? And I'd highly rec the store both as an online shopping experience (playful, informative, with REVIEWS and DETAILS about things like noise level and power and dimensions, and very discreet about shipping) and in person (their flagship store is on Capital Hill in Seattle - it's cute and helpful and comfortable and NOT SKEEVY. And a quick walk from Molly Moons. My priorities....).

Even if you end up buying online elsewhere with a coupon, it might be a useful place to start researching?

Ooooh. Thank you! I will check it out. I'm trying to remember if I've been into the store in Seattle or if I've just walked by it. Maybe I'll go and check it out. :D
