Allegedly, he had no idea the substance was in the pills, but as Chivu reiterates, all sportsfolk in general know that you have to ask the doctor's permission before trying out anything. I may be too cynical for anyone's good, but since Adi's mother seems to still be convinced his positive test for coke was simply a big mistake, I don't trust her for a second when she tries to take responsibility for this. I'm not saying he did anything intentionally illegal, but she's about the last person I'd believe when her son is in trouble. Also, as everyone has said, any athlete who's regularly tested for a long list of banned substances ought to know better to take ANYTHING that's not been cleared by the club; that goes double anyone who's already had one positive drugs test.

Also, FWIW, it just come out today that he tested positive after two different matches.

Thank you for this, Yasmine. *Groans in horror* It was his MUM??? That would have been the last person on my list of potential banned-substance suspects. And, like Martha, I don't believe a word she says; she did insist that he'd never taken coke, after all.

Adi has always been obsessed with his figure. I know he always took pills so he would go to the toilet a lot. OH GOD. *Weeps with laughter and... not with laughter* That does sound sort of like him, doesn't it? I suppose he wanted to keep himself looking nice for the ~modelling~. But, god, what a price to pay. For him and for everyone on a team with him.

His Mum makes a rather poor case. I'm pretty sure no one would state on the back of a pill box "Oh, btw, THIS CONTAINS ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES", so...again, the whole past history just makes a really bad case against them.
And she says Adi's never taken other weight-loss pills. Cristi says he always takes them. Very face-palm inducing.

Cristi's adorable. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the toilet statement but hey.
Adi does sound quite obsessed, but this really isn't worth it. I'm sure his figure would've been fine what with him playing professional sport, ffs. Everyone in sports knows that the most innocent-looking pills can fuck you up. Le sigh.

"I left them at his house and he took them out of curiosity"... she's obviously trying to get him off the hook, but unfortunately she's sort of making it worse. Oh, dear. As for Christi, several people assumed that if they were weight-loss pills, they must have come from him XD "Well, he's fat!" Nice to know he's off the hook.

(The hair gel thing is hilarious, actually. Can I make a post about it elsewhere?)
