Have I mentioned that this is my favorite story right now? Well, it bears repeating :-)

It's brilliant, I love your Marcus and I already loved your River but every time I read another chapter I'm in awe of your characterisation and your imagery. Awesome.

Sometimes I feel this stories missing the humor element. I guess that’s what the occasional drabble is for.

Reaching up, she traced a trembling finger along his bottom lip, struggling to understand. “Why?”

Flinching at her touch, Marcus released her and turned to busy himself, shrugging his broad shoulders. “It’s of no importance.”

I love this little interaction, and how it is then reflected here: “There are things you find irreplaceable?”

“Some things.” Marcus offered her a large hand down. “I’m finding.”

The way Marcus stays true and still has that tiny spark of something else... yes.
