Jayne glared at River from across the jail cell they were stuck in, together. It’d only been an hour but he was already feeling twitchy at being caged in with the psycho.
“Git down from them bars afore they come by an’ zap you one.” Jayne scolded and then reconsidered his warning. “On second thought, keep climbin’.”
River’s hair hung freely as she bent backwards, demonstrating her incredible flexibility. “Going to spring us out.” She announced proudly.
Mid-guffaw his eyes perked up at her interesting position, the sight strangely arousing.
Maybe being hold up weren’t so bad. There was entertainment.
