So the city has become a big garden. Arak was not surprised. Well he was slightly, but pleasantly. He didn't mind this new garden scenery. Being a lover of beauty, he rather preferred these majestic gardens to the stench of city life. How could those commoners live. Honestly.

In the back of her mind, Carol was still worried about the fact that she didn't know where she was, and that she had no way of knowing how she was going to get back to the Enterprise. The fear was mostly numbed, though, by the sense of serenity that the garden instilled in her, and she'd begun to think that maybe she could be happy here for a little while. At least until she managed to get back to the EnterpriseThat didn't stop her for still semi-actively trying to return home, though, and that was why she was on her way to the Rose Clearing, where a message from the Earl had informed her a dancing lesson was going to be. Figuring that maybe it had something to do with her finding whatever it was the Earl though she didn't have before, Carol had decided to go ( ... )

"....Perhaps..." The word slipped off of Arak's tongue, as if he were plotting some sort of demise. He strode over to the woman, eyes slender, showing interest.

Her breath catches a bit as he approaches her, because really, she hasn't seen someone so like Jim in a long time- Arak exudes the aura of arrogance and raw passion that Jim had carried about him like a shield, and the sharpness of those violet eyes take her back to the days when Jim's clear blue ones looked at her in much the same way.

"I am. I was hoping to learn the waltz." It's a little breathless, and she's surprised at herself for being so easily caught off guard by this strange man. She quickly recovers, though, adding, "And yourself?"
