Just finished watching it.
Stunning.
David and Patrick Stewart together with the other actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company *did* a piece of great art.
Really.

So, I made 30 icons, featuring David as Hamlet. :)

I watched the movie tonight and found it a fascinating contrast to the stage version - I was lucky enough to see that early in its run back in August 2008.

These are a lovely set - but your header breaks my heart - I don't think I could look at that every day.

Aww so lucky! I so would have had the chance to see it on stage!
I've seen lotsa Hamlets in my life, I love literature and theatre and I love Shakespeare. All of them, I saw on stage, or on TV from stage. And all of them in Italian. This is the first time I see it filmed, and the first time I see it all in English. Well, I found out so many wonderful things you can't see when you see it not in original... Awww I loved it.
And I loved it even more thanks to David, who's among the best actors I've ever seen, and thanks to Patrick, who's in the actors' Olympus as well. :)
