My gummi ship and teeny ships rock in KH2. I just wish I could take pictures of them, especially one of the teeny ships- it's called Bloodstone (the gummi ship is called "King's Ransom" so both teenies have jewel names XD ) and it's got a GIANT RED SAWBLADE OF DEATH right down the middle with it. To quote myself from yesterday: "It looks like it got into a fight with a saw mill and lost."

Anyway, it's yet another round of the Associations meme, this time with two from birdboy2000 and five from geek_among_men. It's funny, seriously, how much I keep getting Megaman on this thing. XDXDXD
Since they both chose it, in the first one I'll be talking about why I like the ZX series (sorry it's not one you're familiar with B2K; there's more general Megaman stuff in the links below though ^^ ); the second one will be why I decided to play Bass over at DDD (since Hermy asked me about DDD anyway xD ). For more Megaman meme stuff, just go back to either of the other two.

B2K's pair
1. Megaman
2. Koushirou "Izzy" Izumi

1. Megaman
(Why the ZX series rocks)
You know, I'm not even sure why I fell in love with ZX. Chronologically it follows the Zero games, which I never really got in to. I'd guess it would be the characters, first off. They're all so awesome, both good guys and bad. The plot to both games is awesome and deep, especially Advent's. And the gameplay itself is difficult but not impossible. Besides, the art is kickass. I just hope Capcom decides to do more with the series, 'cause it'd be a shame to have it be so short XD; (Legends I'm looking at you)

2. Koushirou "Izzy" Izumi
Ever since I first started watching Digimon, waaaayyy back when it first aired in America, Izzy has been my favorite character. He's a geek, he's cute, and he's got an awesome partner XD (ROCKET POWERED GIANT BEETLE YEAH *shot* ) Like all the others in his team he's got a well-rounded character, but I was initially drawn to him because he was smart. The episode "No Questions, Please", in which he was stuck inside Vademon's alternate dimension, cemented my Izzy love in my heart forever. It's an episode that really tugs at the heartstrings, and shows you how much Izzy and Tentomon care about each other. Even after all this time, and finding love with other characters (like Tai) Izzy still remains my top favorite, and always will be. After all, there's a reason I'm known as CBIzumi around DA, you know ;P XD

Hermy's five
1. Mega Man
2. Durham
3. Kingdom Hearts
4. DramaDramaDuck
5. Giro

1. Megaman
(playing Bass at DDD)
You know, it's funny. I'm admittedly a bigger fan of Bass the Navi, from the EXE series, than Bass the robot from the Classic games. And yet when Fey (aubergine_pilot) first pointed me towards DDD and I saw Classic Bass on the old Requested Characters list, I LEAPT at the chance. Now, a year after that fateful day, I don't regret it at all. Bass is a BLAST to play, even if he is an asshole XDXD In fact, a large part of it is probably because of that. I get to act out with him, I get to be mean and nasty and, arguably, evil. He's really fun to play, although I will give credit where credit is due. A huge part of that is his bond with pansbox, which is all thanks to the Hakuna Matata virus we had a while back XDXD Playing Bass opposite Kaito really opened up DDD to me, and now several of my other characters all have friendships and bonds that make playing them so much better. But Bass will always be my first, and second favorite to play. Well, except maybe Giro, but I'll go into that below ;P

2. Durham
This is the North Carolina city I was born in and still live in, and despite some problems I really enjoy being here. It's got its beauty (like Duke Botanical Gardens), its museums (like Nasher and the Museum of Life and Science), and being the nerd I am, the library is also a favorite spot XD The history of Durham also really fascinates me, which is good because there's a pretty important Civil War location here XD (Bennet Place) It's a great city, filled to the brim with nostalgia for me and great beauty, and I'll sorely miss it when it comes time for me to move away for whatever reason.

3. Kingdom Hearts
"Nobody believed that a mix between Disney and Square-Enix could work. People thought it was madness, bringing together vastly different properties, and everyone expected it to fail. And then it released." So goes a paraphrased version of a review I saw once for KH (and its TV Tropes page, I believe), and I think it starts things off pretty well. Although I didn't get the opportunity to play the original game until a year (year and a half?) after it released, the time waiting was well worth it. KH is a gorgeous game with a wonderful, deep if confusing plot and great characters. It's an improbable mix of Disney and Final Fantasy but dammit, it WORKS. I don't know how, but it works. KH2 just improved on this (vastly), and even CoM has its merits. I'm very happy the series is continuing to expand, even if I can't play all of the new games. But hey, that's what the internet, and wikis, is for, right? ;D XD

4. DramaDramaDuck
Like I said above, Fey was the first person to show it to me, in a comment on an entry asking for good LJ RPs. The concept was interesting to me, least of which because this wasn't an RP where your character is taken to god-knows-where like a lot of the other multi-fandom ones out there (which I still play in, mind XD ). I applied for Bass first and got in, obviously, and played around for a few months before apping Giro and beyond. I really like the people there (and yes, this is including the drama that breaks out every so often), and the mod team is really good at keeping things in line. The viruses make it VERY interesting, and the fact that they're inspired and suggested by the community makes it so much better XD (And more evil for our characters xDD ) In short, I love DDD and the people within <3

5. Giro
Oh Giro, Giro, Giro... While only my second character there, he's arguably my most well known one (thanks in part I'm sure to me being referred to AS Giro around there xD ), the one people seem to identify me with most, and one of the most fun to play. If I ever mass drop characters at DDD, Giro and Bass are the two who are truly safe, because quite frankly... DDD wouldn't be the same for me xD Giro talks to the people, he defends them (although they don't know it), and he really gets OUT there (even if I haven't been very active lately >_>; ). He makes friends easily, although he certainly has his flaws. XD I hear "MORE GIRO" pretty often (granted from the same three people but whatever xD ) and thinking on it, I can really see why. As for Giro as a character, it's really a bum rap what happens to him in his game (which I won't spoil here for those who haven't played ZX), but he's well-rounded and stable, which I like. He's a damn good guy, fun to play, and fun to love ^^
