Remember before when I said I was impressed by you? It continues. You, Tom, have broken through the barrier. You have taken the pain and the horror of self and turned it into meaning, and you did it the right way: just wanting it to be for God's glory, not for your own thing.
In highschool I saw worth in you, but I didn't know what it was. I just knew it was there, and that you didn't see it. Know what? I will never have the privilege of knowing what you were meant for - that's what you get to show the world by yourself, and the only ones that will know it before it arrives are you and God.
You are one of the people that gets to wow the world with who you really are. Even at our 10 year reunion you will have the privilege of knowing inside that you have made more difference in the world than anyone else there, whether anyone else knows it or not. You have a high calling, Tom. People of high calling are rarely understood by those around them - think of Job, and remember that. Stay real, seriously.
