"We would also appreciate it if you do not compare secrets to secrets to see if they are secrets or N!S."

This confused me too. Isn't that just saying "if we're being inconsistent, don't call us on it"? Or... what is that supposed to mean?

I think that's the uncharitable way of putting it, the charitable way being "don't sit there overanalyzing secrets to find something to bitch at the mods about."

No the uncharitable way is to say "get a fucking life."

Hi! Um... I'm just beginning to start up a general weekly RP newsletter and I was wondering if it'd be okay with you guys for me to include a condensed list of the comms that advertise on the secret posts? (If you want a sample of how it'd look, check out the test post here.) It'd just be a round-up rather than asking people to post tables or anything, but I wanted to check with you guys first to make sure I wasn't stealing thunder or stepping on any toes. I plan to ask for people to submit advertisements to the newsletter itself later down the line, but to realistically start getting the thing off the ground, I think I'll have to leech a bit first. 8(

Also, since you guys currently run one of the main RP hubs, I'd appreciate any kind of input you might have about the test release of the newsletter. Thanks!

Sorry for the late response! I forgot that I didn't track responses on this post for some unknown reason.

But yes, we're perfectly fine with what you're doing. It's a very good idea, even! We'll be happy to help get it off the ground with advertisements and the like. So if you need anything, just send us a note.

It's all right! I wouldn't have bugged you guys so shamelessly except that I wanna try to get the first issue up today. :>

Awesome, yaaay! ♥ Thanks for the support and I'll definitely keep the offert in mind if I have trouble getting the ball rolling myself. 8) I really appreciate the help! Thank yoouuu! ♥

Heya! Seeing as you guys haven't updated roleplaysecrets yet today and I feel okay with the prospect of more exposure on the newsletter, I was wondering if you would be all right with pimping it out on the next post? Er - where and to what extent is totally up to you, and if you think I should probably just reply to the ads comment instead, that's fine too. |D

Thanks again for the help!

There is no specific format needed. All you have to do is reply to the first comment (that is usually the few rules we'd like the ads to follow) and not the comment where we list the games that were advertised in the last week.

As long as the ad doesn't include any tables or images before the comments are collapsed, we'll take anything. We would like you to list the comm advertised's journal name as well, for ease of recording. We often get ads that list the game name but not the journal name, and there's no way for us to be sure how to spell the journal name except trace it back by other links, which is something of a hassle.

I hope this explained it!
