[Blink blink]

...[Blink]

...My apologies if this seems a rude question, but what manner of beast are you?

[He's starting to think he got off lightly, just being green]

[The Master bristled and hissed quietly.]

I'm a Time Lord. Who happens to be some kind of a cat at the moment. What the he--- [his voice cut out for a second.] -- are you?

...As it appears, a pony. A green one, by some mischance of nature in this world. In other worlds, I am a Man; Faramir, Steward of Gondor.

But ponies are common enough in my world - I know not what may be in yours, and I will grant that green is a... less than usual colour - and I asked from curiosity alone, for such a creature as that whose form you wear, I have never seen the likes of.

[His eyes flash, and he sits down... and yawns.]

It's not the first time that I've been feline.

... thank you.

[he preens slightly.] Bit on the nose, though... that you're a 'pale horse'.

A pale horse, yeah, but Amethyst isn't really a name that fits in Revelations, is it?

'The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadiaa in length, and as wide and high as it is long. He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man’s measurement, which the angel was using. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

[There was no pause or hesitation in the recitation...]
