[Confusion everywhere! She stands up, looking around, then goes out into the hallway]

[Simon walked out of his room, in a similar state of confusion... the last few worlds were an incomprehensible blur of color and sound.]

[He freezes when he sees Kaylee.]

... you're here.

[He sounds both terrified and elated at the same time.]

Simon?

[She turns away from the window to face him. She looks elated, excited, and not a bit frightened]

Where's everyone else? Where's Serenity?

[doctoredingly]

[He stares at her, not sure how to even begin answering that question. He wants to cross the hall and hug her, something--- but he can't quite get started.]

It's a... long story. How is everyone?

[Add 'concerned' to that list of expressions]

...Simon, you saw everyone at dinner.

I don't know too much, and you ain't gonna like what I do know.
