[So Lewis is sneaking back into the house after his pick-Poland-up-and-carry-him-home-trip. Covering this up will be a bit hard though, with blood all over his front and his bare feet all muddy. He just hopes that he can make it to the bathroom and then back into his room without running into anyone.]

[There's a heavy thudding on the front door.]

[It's Jack Harkness, Feliks's dad. He's pissed, red blooded, American, and he's armed.]

Well, obviously your father failed at more than just his interpersonal skills. [that has a lot of bite to it, and doesn't really sound like a fireman from the 1950's at all. Jack is very, very angry.]

Either you open this door and we discuss this like adults, or I really will call the police. And you don't want that.

[Normally, he would say something to that. But not now.

Peers over his shoulder... good. Ivan is gone now, if upstairs or downstairs, Lewis doesn't know.]

Come to the back door. But please, be quiet.

[He looks at Amber and then nods to the side of the house.]

[She leads the way around the back, stepping absolutely silently]

[Sitting outside the back door, not far from the puddle of dried blood that Poland left. The kitchen is pitched black.]

Over here.

Thank you, Lewis.

[It's too dark back here to really see the other person, so he uses words rather than gestures.]

You wanted to discuss this?

[In a quiet, controlled tone]

Yes. I want to see your father and discuss why our son is lying on the couch with half his bones broken. More specifically, I want to discuss what's going to happen if Feliks doesn't... [Swallows hard and grabs for Jack's hand again] ...if Feliks doesn't get through this alright.

And if we can, I'd quite like to see Tori, too.

[He shakes his head and winces at the movement, and then, when he remembers that the other two might not have seen it, explains.]

I don't know where father is. He seems to have left after we talked. [He just hopes that the dark swallows the bruises.] I haven't seen him in a while now.

... Tori is downstairs, but I can't let you in to see her. [Pause.] I'll forget to lock the back door when I go back inside.
