Dean's Anime kick is just hilarious to me, because it's sooooo out of like with his whole Dean Winchester persona that he used to build and tend so carefully. And he's adorable when he's happy.
Writing the Rick Astley bits felt a little like throwing rocks at a hornet's nest -- can't . . . resist . . . stupid . . . joke -- so I'm so glad somebody other than me found it funny.
Thanks so much for all your reviews, and I'm glad you liked the story!

Also I love the idea that Dean knows Japanese anime fandom terms. Bwah!
In conclusion: I probably enjoyed this more than I should have.
My brain is imagining future scenarios of them working together, rubbing each other the wrong way...Stark hating Dean...I dunno. It's a thing. Oh, and also Clint quoting Gabriel. Eee! So many tasty easter eggs!

The Anime thing is like a double-bonus for Dean -- he likes the shows, and he can use his new interest to confuse and bewilder Sam. I've got this idea that on some level, Sam thinks of Dean like the furniture arrangement in a house -- he's startled and uneasy whenever Dean changes. (And after the Dr. Sexy thing, we know Dean's got the makings of a fanboy.)
Sorry to disappoint you re: "Ohmigod, Thor! Ohmigod! Are you kidding me? How can you -- how -- omigod!"
There are few things more satisfying than tricking somebody into enjoying something they really shouldn't. Thanks so much for reading it anyway, and thanks for all your reviews!

And because I have tween sons, I know Rick-Rolling. I laughed, and then I cried. ;)
Awesome writing too. Plain and simple, a great read.

The Avengers is a really fun movie. Leave it to Joss Whedon to juggle half-a-dozen different character arcs and all the action modern CGI can generate.

"So it's not that we don't trust you, but we just don't trust you." <-in summary, the Winchester way. :D
Nice story! Several wonderful lines. Thanks for sharing it.

And, I get a kick out of it that Dean out-lied Loki!
Looking forward to more crossovers between these two fandoms
