I've got my semi-annual eye doctor appointment in about an hour, which means I get to leave the office for the day in just over thirty minutes, yay! No point coming back to work after my exam, since they always dilate my eyes in order to better check on any potential areas of diabetic retinopathy that may have cropped up within the last six months ( Read more... )

Sparrow was the OLD doctor. His first name is John, which I think Jack iss sometimes used as a nickname for, LOL.

I always forget about the dilating! I'm glad someone was with me the last time I went. I'd never have made it home otherwise. And my day's been tiring! Will be glad for tomorrow :)

I have good sunglasses, and usually drive myself home from my eye doctor's afterwards. But this time it seemed extra sunny - I think the last few visits have been slightly overcast - so I hung out at the nearest Starbucks (just a few blocks down the road) for about 30 minutes or so, until the sun was a tad less bright.
