* Zambia was Awesome. Great country, and as I think i said previously, great people...no bad experiences at all--except when my pocket was picked in Lusaka. But even that guy returned my wallet--it had no money, and he had nothing to do with the Credit/Debit cards ( Read more... )

Dude come to Chennai. For real. Seriously. Flights are cheap. I have a 3 bedroom flat by the beach and only one roomie. We can consume cheap liquor and watch waves and shit. I am SO SERIOUS.

I realized after walking five more feet that my wallet was gone--scary feeling, considering that i wasn't carrying much cash in Zambia, and relying almost entirely on ATMs. And my cards were in the wallet. Thank God for old fashioned pickpockets--they're not into credit card scams.

Well, my dissertation is about politics in that region of Africa; hence the visit.
