Have been watching a lot of stuff recently, and wanted to do some mini-reviews.

Movies:

Punch-Drunk Love

I hadn’t really intended to watch this, but the TV was on that channel while I was cleaning, so it ended up getting me to follow the story.

This movie definitely goes on my weird-shelf, but on the higher end as I actually enjoyed it. At first I had ( Read more... )

I gave up on 'Vanished' after three episodes. Even though my 'Queer as Folk'-induced love for Gale Harold will probably go on forever, it was not enough here.

I'm so happy you gave 'Shark' a try. It's not one of my favorites, but I really enjoy it. And I adore James Woods. About the similarities with 'House M.D.', that was something I noticed on the very start (on my own, mind you - later, when I wanted to check out what is the general Net assessment is, it was quite funny to discover that practically everyone else thought the same way), but the feeling disappears pretty soon, even before the middle of the season. At this point the show already has its own identity.
And don't you think that Sam Page is very very pretty?

I think 'Numb3rs' gets much better with every passing season. I think it was seaosn 2 when I got really pulled in.
They keep pushing how math will make it easier to solve crime, yet I keep thinking that the way it’s put forth it’s way to easy. It might help in some areas, but it keeps ending up being the key and ( ... )

I can't blame you, I seriously don't know how I've kept watching this far.
They killed off your guy in episode 7, so it was just as well that you stopped watching.

Yeah, the comparison wasn't exactly something I considered until I read a review of it. I don't think it's a big part of it though, and am sure this show will fly away from that soon.
Sam Page is pretty, a little to Ken Doll, so not quite my type, but does make for nice eye-candy. ;)

Yes! That's exactly it! They're Feds!
It's a fun show, but I have a hard time taking it as seriously as the creators seem to want me to.
I will keep watching though, as I like crime shows, and as stated I like some of the characters, but it's not one of those shows that'll I'll feel bad if I miss an episode.

If they offed Gale Harold, then it's actually good thing that I stopped watchign.

Sam Page is pretty, a little to Ken Doll, so not quite my type, but does make for nice eye-candy. ;)
True. He's one of these guys that I wouldn't hesitate a second to call 'mmmmmm pretty', but 'omg hot' not necessarily. It goes exactly the same way with Jesse Spencer aka Robert Chase which was one of the reasons why the 'House' similarities were so strong at first, actually.

But it's not one of those shows that'll I'll feel bad if I miss an episode.
And fortunately 'Numb3rs' is one of the few shows where missing an episode will have practically no concequences whatsoever. In the first two seasons they were exactly NO major story-archs. Every single episode was autonomous and had no plot connection to any other episode so missing one went basically unnoticably.

I actually find Jesse more attractive than Sam Page, but yeah they're more eyecandy than anything else.

Actually feels kind of good to have one of those shows on my list as well.

I love the original Scream, too, and I also don't own it yet. Well I have it on video but that's not the same.

I feel the same way about Drama Queen. What were we thinking? :/

Still can't get into Ugly Betty.

Yeah, I have the first one on video too. It's crap quality, so I really need to get the DVD, preferably the director's cut. :)

Seriously. It's movies like this that makes me wonder how crappy the scrips that don't make it are.

Understandable. I just enjoy the silly.

I am not big on scary movies but I must say that the Scream movies are really good :) All 3 of them.

Ugly betty, I like that show. It´s fun, and also a show where you don´t have to do a lot of thinking.

Lost, I always miss it, so I have no idea since that´s a show you really have to follow to get it. I want them on DVD thought.

It's a fun ride. The Scream movies will always be special to me. :) Plus I feel like they took the genre in a different direction, and it payed off.

Exactly, I like that show for the silly. It's all the fashion world cliche's, but it makes for amusing TV

Well if you haven't gotten in to it I'd recomend leaving it. Personally I'm happy I didn't buy the season 1 DVD after the way season 2 turned out.

I'm such a Shark fan! James Wood does seriously rock. I've followed t from the start and I love it. :)

It is a great show. And like I said, finally a somewhat serious lawyer show. Very nice balance between humor and drama.

ugh! Confessions... is such a vaste of time! Glad I don't remember much of that movie.
Scream on the other hand is another story.
Scream 3, remember seeing that in the theatre? hehe.
BOO! hihih.
And not to forget, our "bonding" film. :-) In 3 months time it's 7 years ago!
