Honestly I think Jason Alexander deserved to be abused for his attempts to be a constitutional scholar. He clearly didn't know the actual context of why that was in there, or what it had to do with - he's just repeating what he read on an anti-gun site and getting attention because he's a celebrity.

Basically his post can be boiled down to: "I disagree with the NRA - because they're crazy." which is fair and true.

But pretending he's an authority on the matter was just idiotic.

At least he seems more rational than the gun nuts who keep screaming for his head because he dared to suggest that automatic weapons serve no purpose than the mass killing of people. As with all politics this is really just another example of idiots on two sides both acting like children. It's just one side is throwing a temper tantrum screaming "I'll kill you dead!" and the other is puffing up with their own self importance and smugness.

Exactly like all politics.
