They Get You...

► Oh how they get you with those hidden fees! We got our gas bill yesterday and Dean showed it to me. According to the bill we used $18 worth of natural gas, but our bill has increased from $50 to $80 because of raised and additional "service fees". Also not complaining.
SO not!
"about 50 rolls of TP!"
Once again, I think I am in love with a fictional character!

I was really disappointed when I was told that it's just going to be 5 shorts (75 seconds each) and not an actual series.

MalcolmD says: I love zaftig Supergirl too, so thank you for posting the video. They've even done a good job of giving her the sort of "regular girl" personality that the comic writers tell us she's supposed to have without making her seem excessively shallow, irrational, or otherwise annoying.

Another interesting decision: giving Wonder Girl an accent that is neither US-American nor British. I don't think that it makes sense for Cassie, and I have no idea what Donna's current origin is, but the accent does make sense if she was raised in Themyscira. Indeed, perhaps Diana should have a similar accent.

I agree on all points. I didn't warm up to the modern Supergirl in the comics of the past 10 years because she her personality was so mixed up because of writers writing her inconsistently. It made the character very off putting. Supergirl should be fun I think, and zaftig Supergirl pulls it on in this short.

I always imagine that Diana would have an accent, but when I read comics with her the voice always ends up a hodge podge of Super Friends Wonder Woman and Lynda Carter... Hard to break from what's been ingrained.

MalcolmD says: A voice does a lot to define a character, and Wonder Woman is an ideal example for me. A Greek-accented Wonder Woman makes sense to me, but I didn't have any affection for the character until I heard her voiced by Susan Eisenberg on JLU, so it seems a shame to mess with that.
