As for Fillion buying Firefly--are you kidding me? If that could happen, then I might have to reconsider the existence of unicorns, leprechauns, genies, and other happy, magical creatures, because that would be ... well ... happy and magical.

McDuffie was great. A real comic book fan and excellent writer. His Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths DVD animated movie is my favourite so far of the DC animated DVDs.

Also he did a lot of great work with Milestone (even if it was marketed wrong) and was a great writer and guiding force on the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited cartoons. He's gone way too soon.

As for Fillion, apparently during an interview he said that if he was to win $300 million on the California lottery he'd buy the rights to Firefly and produce and distribute it directly on the internet. Die hard fans seem to be taking it very, very seriously.

I love the guy. He's such a card. :-D
