The restaurant Tycho has suggested is, of course, perfect. Arrangements such as decorations, food, and the management putting up with a large and potentially noisy crowd of pilots has been dealt with (some in more legal ways than others - Wedge figures any idiot that tries to hit him up for 'protection' money deserves to get his face dented by the ( Read more... )

Tycho, characteristically early and dressed impeccably as ever, neatly threads his way through tables.

Winter's following him, dressed just as nicely (only in girl clothes. Like a dress. It's a nice dress too, with a matching handbag), white hair pulled back into a bun, a small smile on her face.

Tycho may have said that Wedge was throwing this as a survival party, but she's got the feeling there may just be something more to it. She'll keep her thoughts to herself for now, however.

Tycho's pretty proud, really, that it's just a feeling. It's not easy keeping a secret from Winter, and especially when he had to do double duty, trying to keep her from mentioning the whole thing to Iella without actually telling her that she couldn't mention it to Iella.

Tycho Celchu was not cut out for intelligence work.

So he glances around at the nearly-empty restaurant and says, "I think we're early," waiting for Winter to catch up so that he can offer her his arm.

She takes it, brushing flyaway hair out of her face, smiling at him. "I think you're right. Excellent deduction skills, dear."

Gavin sits quietly at a table, watching all the bustle of the crowd. He's dressed in his best dress uniform, content to take everything in from behind a glass of lomin ale.

Inyri sits next to him, her glass of wine in hand, smiling over at him. "Hey Gavvie."

Inyri's here! And...definitely still part of Rogue Squadron (after a mishap where the mun forgot her timelines and then broke her brain), and sitting at a table with a glass of wine. Wooo.

Totally not late.

Shalla pulls her clothes into order, not quite running into the restaurant.

(But so not late.)

"Have a drink and cool off. That must have been quite the run." Says Wedge, just managing not to smirk knowingly at Shalla.

The nervousness he is quite obviously feeling might have something to do with that.

She grins brightly. "I have no idea what you're talking about, General."

Iella is, for once in her life, late.

She got out of work after she'd expected (half the people with offices around hers up and left early, leaving her with a backlog of reports to file) and traffic was -- well, it's Coruscant. She is still fixing her hair as she steps through the restaurant doors. Slipping one last pin into place, she tells the maitre'd manning the small podium near the door, "I'm meeting someone here; a reservation for Antilles."

She doesn't understand the man's knowing look, or the way that a passing waiter's face blanches, but the maitre'd bows and says, "This way, please, ma'am."

The doors to the large private room open and Iella Wessiri steps through, a vision in a fitted black sheath dress.

Her eyes fly open wide and she stops short, probably comically so, at the sight of the packed room.

Wedge doesn't just have a plan.

He has a Mission Plan.

He's calling it 'Operation: Don't Frell It Up'.

Step one of mission plan: Keep Iella from simply turning around and leaving.

"Iella!" He... um. Pretty much croaks. Idly he wonders why it is he feels like facing a TIE with a slingshot would be less nerve-wracking right now.
"You look... um. Lovely. Really. Is that new?"

Sweet burning stars, kill him now.

Somewhere in the background, there is a quiet, amused facepalm.

Corran leans over to his XO. "Who is this cunning wordsmith, and what's he done with our commander?"

He looks at Tycho... then at Wedge. Wedge's nervousness just multiplied on the scale of Lusankya... what the kriff is he--

He shoots Tycho a look and mouths at him, He's NOT.
