Thanks :) I'm working on part two now and, I think it's safe to say, that the best has yet to come in this story *veg*

I can't wait to see how this continues - Miles is going to spread some sunshine all around, I'm sure.

HA! That's not quite how I'd put it, but I think you've got the general gist of the thing there ;-)

Does it really help for MILES to be fixing delicate political messes as opposed to a more traditional Auditor? Miles has in his favor that he is high Vor and a fair politician and understands Betan culture fairly well. Against that he is visibly odd and Barayarrans dislike oddities ( ugh shudder mutant ), and causes chaos and turmoil and mental confusion.
This seems to be the prelude for a high jump into a deep pile of manure. Churchill's ancestor once jumped from a lady's bedchamber and survived due to an immense pile of shit under the window. If the housekeeper or stable manager was more conscientious history would have changed.

I hope Miles hasn't been visiting too frequently. The local police might be put on high alert and calls would go out to Dr. Naismith --" your grandson is on planet. Do you know if he is taking his meds? " Its the Barayyarran embassy that I was really worried about not the Betan government.
Are you going to let Miles cause confusion and chaos and turmoil? At least Cordelia isn't around to turn peoples' minds on end.

heh, yeah, now I follow what you mean... hadn't considered that one, but yeah, I can see those sorts of happenstances too... *veg*

...As to the embassy recovering after a Milesean visit... well... you'll have to wait and see, won't you? ;)
