this weekend happened

Our dog died yesterday. Mentally composing and rewriting posts about it has been part of my processing this over the past day, but while I announced it on twitter to get some immediate release yesterday, and wrote it on Facebook so that the extended family know and so people at work don't ask me how my weekend was tomorrow, actually writing

I'm so very sorry about Angie. Losing a beloved family pet can be very much like a bereavement - it's a huge loss. It sounds as though she had a very lovely life, surrounded by people who loved her and cared for her very much - what a blessing for her. <3

I still cry about beloved pets who died, even years later, so I can guess how much this hurts. I'm glad you posted that vid--Angie looks like a little sweetie.
